Men are more generous in the presence of attractive women.
Now proven by a University of Kent study. Study participants played games where they could earn money. Once finished, each man was asked what percentage of his winnings he would like to donate to charity.
Researchers found that men donated far more money in the presence of a beautiful woman, than if they were asked in the presence of another man or by themselves. Interestingly, female participants in the study showed no increase in donation amount when an attractive man was present.
The study was founded in an effort to better understand why men are statistically more generous to strangers, as opposed to women being more generous to family and friends. The conclusionary theory is that while men are pre-programmed to prefer a mate who shows attractiveness and fertility, women are hard-wired to look for a mate who can provide "provisional resources". In response, men have developed a tendency to show generosity to strangers, in an effort to attract female attention. This, they aptly titled the "show-off hypothesis."
Universal Truths
This study has confirmed the what those of us who worked in the service industry knew all along. Working my way through college, there were two "universal truths" of working for tips:
1) If you want a larger tip, force a man to tip in front of his date.
2) Cute girls make more money. When I was first starting out, I served time as a waitress, a bar worker, and delivering pizzas. At the end of the night, when we compared tips, I always did better than my male counterparts. Did I deliver pizzas any better than they did? No....but I had something they didn't: big boobs .

This info is useful in many ways. Here is how to put it to work for you:
1) If you work for a charity, request donations in front of attractive women, or send an attractive woman in to do the job.
2) If you work for tips, refer to "universal truths" as outlined above to increase your revenues.
3) If you are going on a date with an attractive woman, be aware of the male tendency to want to impress. You might want to keep a tight grip on your wallet.
4) If you are an attractive woman going on a date....tonight might be the night to ask for that diamond necklace!
